We seek to build networks of mission-driven food suppliers and values-aligned food buyers. To do so we offer consulting and brokerage, and we engage cross-sector coalitions to build a fair food economy.
What We Do
We support private & public sector leaders to be more purposeful participants in the food economy by helping them understand and deepen their relationship with the food they eat and purchase. Through strategic consulting and institutional food sales we build networks across issue area divides to advance cross-sector food initiatives and help anchor institutions drive change in the food economy. We also help public agencies and institutions invest in a sustainable, equitable food economy, and we map and develop systems to help policymakers and philanthropists shift their impact upstream.
Why We Do It
We recognize that inequities and inefficiencies in our food system can change when addressed by people, institutions, and decision-makers across many sectors. Point blank: this system was built by industries which don’t nourish people or the planet, and we want to help people understand how to unbuild this system and replace it with one more that’s human and humane. We are committed to genuine relationship-building throughout our work, and we believe that when more people have a relationship with the food they eat we’ll be healthier and wealthier for it.
